Shift to What If
What?
If the word 'what' is left alone, followed by a question mark, and depending on the tone, it can quickly carry a connotation of judgement.
Judgement of ourselves if asked in response to someone’s reaction to or experience of us…
What is wrong with me?
or judgement of others born of a lack of understanding of their intention or behavior.
What is wrong with you?
If…
The word ‘if,’ left to its own devices can become an introducer of excuses.
If I had more money…
If I had more time…
When we shift our focus, and put those two words together, they take on a whole new meaning.
What If…
We open up an entirely new world and the power of possibility.
What if you learned that new skill?
What if you took that trip?
What if you forgave yourself?
What if you spoke your truth?
What if you believed in you as much as others do?
This week I challenge you to examine the language you’ve been using with others and most importantly, with yourself. Release the judgements and excuses and focus on what is possible instead of what is problematic. Your words hold power. This shift in your mindset and perspective will make room for the prosperity, joy and abundance that you desire and deserve.
Shift to What If.
